(General Physics 2) OHM’S LAW

Updated: May 15, 2021

OHMS LAW EQUATION

Voltage

We define voltage as the amount of potential energy between two points on a circuit. One point has more charge than another.

Current

It is the rate of flow of electric charge. A potential difference (voltage) across an electrical component is needed to make a current flow through it.

Resistance

is a measure of the opposition to current flow in an electrical circuit. Resistance is measured in ohms, symbolized by the Greek letter omega (Ω).
